Impression wins Workplace Excellence award at Google’s Agency Excellence Awards 2024

We’re thrilled to have won an award at this year’s Google Agency Excellence Awards! This award highlights our commitment to making Impression one of the best agencies to work for. Over the past year, we’ve consistently improved our processes and launched new initiatives, always prioritising employee well-being and corporate responsibility in everything we do.

Google’s Agency Excellence Awards celebrate exceptional performance and innovation among Google’s top-performing agencies and partners. The Workplace Excellence category recognises companies that prioritise creating outstanding work environments. This award highlights agencies that focus on employee well-being, development, and growth, ensuring a positive and productive workplace culture while consistently delivering excellent results for clients.

The Award for Workplace Excellence was split into 3 segments that highlighted how we:

  1. Nurtured talent by fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, creating a space where everyone feels psychologically safe and free to be themselves—even before they join Impression. In 2023, we worked with an external EDI consultant, to measure how effective our EDI initiatives were and how we could improve, since then, staff felt that ‘noticeable efforts had been made in EDI at Impression and all staff who engaged with our consultant showed a great desire to learn, understand and better support their colleagues’.
  1. Shared the impact of our leadership. We’ve always been open to trying new things, and we firmly believe that leadership and innovation are about identifying challenges and guiding a talented team to be able to develop solutions. This led to us putting more focus on 3 key areas: Evidence, Experimentation and Creativity. These key principles drive our culture of innovation, and we’ve picked them because we know that these are the main challenges our clients will face in 2025 and beyond.
  1. Evaluated how our culture fosters growth, creating new opportunities for Impression and our clients. Attracting and retaining the best talent ensures we are pioneering new approaches and keeping our clients at the forefront of digital innovation and over the last 12 months, our client retention rate is 97%. Our strong team retention figures also mean that when new opportunities are identified on accounts, it’s the same individual or team seeing that opportunity through to completion.
